The Sunshine Hotel is in Malia, right in the middle of Crete. This makes island exploration easy. Malia is a must-visit destination, with its perfect climate and location. The town is well-organised and has companies in all categories. The road divides the village precisely in half: the old town of Malia on one side, and the newer part of the town on the other, which is near the coastline.
Visitors must not miss the historical temples of the old village and the Bioplace of the river, located next to the archaeological palace. Stalis is also very close to Malia, as is Sissi (the famous fish village). The hotel is conveniently located near several points of interest, including the Creta Aquarium, Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos and Elouda. Live like a Greek in Krassi Village, Mochos Village and Lasithi Plateau, where Zeus Cave is located. Knossos Palace is 35 km from Malia. It is the biggest palace in the Mediterranean.
