This modern luxury hotel lies on the famous 1 kilometre-long and 200 metre-wide, paradisiacal island of Lankanfinolhu. It is located on the eastern edge of the Northern Malé Atoll. PCR testing facilities
Upon arrival, the guest services team would check and inform if any guest needs to book these services. Testing requirements are set by some international airlines to allow boarding the plane.
PCR Samples are collected at the hotel, and the tests are run at ADK Hospital in Male’.

All test results for the collected samples are expected within 24hrs.

NOTICE: Southern African Travel Update
Effective from 28th November 2021 Maldives has issued a travel ban for all travellers from seven South African Countries including; South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini and Mozambique. The travel ban follows the announcement by the World Health Organisation of a new Covid19 variant in South Africa named Omicron, which has been flagged as a concern. Travellers that have visited the listed Southern African countries within the prior 14 days, including those that transit for over 12 hours in one of the seven countries, will not be permitted to enter the Maldives.

All Villa resorts are fully prepared, should any covid case arise. Sun Island Resort operates an HPA approved PCR testing lab facility on island, with Paradise Island Resort and Royal Island Resort offering PCR testing on island for all guests should a PCR test be required or prior to travelling from the Maldives.
PCR TESTS BEFORE TRAVEL
Effective from 5th March 2022, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) have announced all vaccinated travelers arriving to the Maldives are no longer required to present a negative PCR test upon arrival.
This is applicable to individuals who has completed the prescribed dose(s) of Covid-19 vaccine approved by the Maldives Food & Drug Authority or the World Health organization (WHO) and at least 14 days have passed since. Booster dose(s) are not required to be eligible for this exemption.
Children (above one year) who are not eligible for vaccination and individuals who have not completed the prescribed dose(s) of a Covid-19 vaccine, will still be required to present a negative PCR upon arrival to the Maldives, for which the sample must be taken no longer than 96 hours before the departure from the fist port of embarkation.
Tourists who spend their holiday in resorts in inhabited islands are no longer required to do a PCR test when departing from the respective inhabited islands.

Note: Upon arrival at Velana International Airport, hotel representatives will welcome guests at the counter and assist them with speedboat transfers to Villa Nautica. The Villa Nautica Paradise Island is a Beach Resort, Tourist hotel. The nightlife/restaurants are located in the hotel.
